The Willson Family.

This was one of my first Family portrait shoots, and I had a blast! It is obvious by these pictures that this family loves spending time together! They were constantly making each other laugh, which made my job easy! I learned a lot from this shoot, and I would love to do more family portraits in the future!

Family is such a blessing, and in a small way I feel that photography can freeze a moment between a family so it can then be passed on to others and to future generations. I have always loved looking at pictures of past generations in my family, and I still remember the first time that my great grandpa showed me pictures that took me through my families history. All that is to say that I think family pictures can be of great importance! It is my hope that my work can capture the unique love between family members!

I had a blast taking all of these pictures, and I hope you enjoyed what you see here! With every shoot I do, I walk away with a better understanding of photography and with more passion for this art!

Thanks for checking my blog out, come back soon!

Sean McGibbon - Headshots

I recently did a headshot session with the talented Sean McGibbon, and we ended up with some really great shots. We walked all over the beautiful and hilly Texas State campus on this cloudy humid day. Every headshot shoot is always different, making it fun and exciting as I try to bring out the personality of each individual person. On this particular shoot, we experimented with a large variety of locations and I'm sure sean was sick of smiling and staring into my lens by the time we finished. My goal was to provide Sean with a large and diverse selection of shots that showcase his personality, and I hope I was able to accomplish that goal!

Every shoot presents its challenges, but it is in those challenges that I find excitement and inspiration. Every time I pick up my camera, I learn more about this art that I love. On this particular day, we were not battling the usual direct sunlight causing shadows, we were actually lacking in light at times. As I shot these images, I learned how to better shoot under these conditions and I grew in my skills as a result. I absolutely love every aspect of photography, and I will take on every challenge I can with the hope that I will expand my skills.

Thank you for checking out my work! Sean and I had a blast, and hopefully his personality shines through in these shots. It is my hope that I can inspire others while creating quality images!

Thank you so much,

Easter with the Beams family!

I love spending easter with my amazing family. Easter is always such a wonderful time as we celebrate our risen Savior!  The whether was beautiful, and I took a few pictures as the kids ran around hunting easter eggs. There was a more difficult egg hunt for my sister and I, and I discovered that I am not gifted at finding easter eggs! I also took the opportunity to take some family pictures of my Uncle Jason and Aunt Stephanie's beautiful family.

Enjoy!

They all immediately sat down to count their eggs and eat some candy! I used to get so excited about easter candy. And I still do....

The lighting was giving me problems at this spot, but I still got some cute shots so I can try to overlook the shadows.

We are all so blessed to have wonderful grandparents! They used to live in Kentucky, so I love having them just a few hours away now that they are settled in Lake Jackson!

By now my family has gotten used to having my camera in their faces. Wherever we go I am using them as test subjects, and my three little cousins have had their pictures taken more times than I can count. I have a wonderful family, and we had a blast this easter!

Thanks for looking,

Gabriel Bernal, Headshots!!

More Headshots!!! On the same day that I shot Joey Saffren, I took the headshots of another amazingly talented friend, Gabriel Bernal. We had a blast, and even though I am much much shorter than Gabe we got some great shots haha!

It was fun getting to shoot people with two very different personalities at the same time, and I feel like these shots portray Gabe's personality very well!

Enjoy!
